The newest installment of Fox’s X-Men franchise is the Days of Future Past which encompasses the entire X-Men movieverse including Wolverine’s origin movies. With most movies you can get away with not watching a few of the older ones but when watching Days of Future past I really feel like you need some serious mutant knowledge in order to fully enjoy this film. The plot line is intricate and refers back to several previous movies and/or comics.

The Lego Movie, was Everything Awesome?
With all the franchising Lego has done with games and TV media, going to the big screen was the next obvious step. What took them so long? I think they really took the time to go the extra mile here and make everything awesome. This movie decidedly sparks my ambitions to go to Lego Land this summer.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is the sequel to the re-booted Spider-Man franchise. Seeing the first Amazing Spider-Man is not a must as they re-explain the two plot threads that were brought over from the first movie but hold onto your wallets as this amazing story might not be what you expected.

Captain America, Spycraft at its Best
Spoiler Free!
Captain America: The Winter Soldier is an exciting sequel to the first film. The timeline places the action after The Avengers and Thor: Dark World in the Marvel movieverse. If you haven’t seen Thor the Dark World you’ll still understand everything that’s going on in the movie. I do recommend viewing the other two movies first. If you’re trying to introduce comic haters or newbies to the movies then this is going to be your holy grail film. It fully encompasses a real world 21st century feel and is jam packed political intrigue and epic spy games.

Hunger Games Catching Fire Review

To be honest I liked Hunger Games enough to own the first movie however the extent of my fandom stopped there. To me it was another cool action flick with slight undertones of government control and the faintest hint of a future uprising. However The Hunger Games “Catching Fire” has properly succeeded in lighting my curiosity and bringing me on the journey into the depths of Katniss’ paranoia.
