Munchkin has a brand new release coming out and this time it’s a Walgreens exclusive. That’s right, you heard it! Board games are so main stream now, you’ll be seeing them at your local Walgreens store starting September 2nd! So I know what you’re thinking, “did they change anything from the original set?”. “Will this set be as punny as the rest?” Well let’s take a look inside and find out.
First off we have the box. It’s smaller than a regular Munchkin box but just as sturdy as their newer boxes. It comes with a wicked purple Munchkin dice and is listed as a 1-4 player game. Which has it’s pro’s and cons. The con being, you’ll probably be mixing the decks up quite a bit when playing a longer game. However the pro is that it’s a great starter game. With only four players available for play, that means everyone’s turn comes up faster and players have a limited number of cards to decipher game mechanics from.
Although limited really isn’t the word I would use for this set. You’re getting all new art from John Kovalic, with a Brother’s Grimm Fairy Tale feel to it. Also you’re sure to be giggling to yourself most of the night as you come across awesome cards like the “Witch Slap” and “Trapped in the Murder Room”.
